The Story
Nirman International, a leading builder, faced significant challenges accurately tracking costs against budget across its numerous active construction projects. Disconnected field expense reporting and manual tracking led to margin erosion, project delays, and difficulty in managing progress billing and retaining full contract profitability.
Raindrop’s involvement delivered a foundational shift from reactive, month-end cost discovery to proactive, real-time budget control, directly contributing to margin preservation and accurate invoicing.
What Did Herrington Do
Raindrop executed a targeted Oracle NetSuite implementation focused on the Project Accounting module, establishing a granular Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) for every active site. Following this, we integrated mobile expense reporting to ensure real-time budget checking against all material and labor costs.
Designed and configured the Project Management module to track job costs at the most granular level (cost codes, tasks, and phases), linking all expenses directly to the correct construction contract budget.
Established strict budgetary controls within the system and integrated mobile expense tracking, ensuring that project managers receive instant alerts when spending approaches budget limits.
The Results
The NetSuite implementation delivered immediate control and improved financial reliability across all construction sites:
